We live where you live, work where you work and help grow the economy right there. Our Downtown Pharmacy in Red Deer is looking for a part-time Pharmacist to join our team.

Part-time:
24 – 36 hours/week. Benefits eligible after 3 months.

Availability requirements:
Weekdays and Weekends – mornings, days, and evenings.

Responsibilities:
Acknowledge customers promptly and professionally, Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion towards the customer, Accurately and timely dispense prescriptions including obtain, interpret, and evaluate all prescriptions to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, cost-effectiveness, accuracy and completeness, Counsel and provide professional advice to patients on prescription and OTC products to provide excellent customer service and maximize customer loyalty, Administer injections/immunizations as requested to maximize patient care,
Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations including maintenance of complete and accurate documentation as required by the College of Pharmacy, drug plans, and company programs, Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians, Provide patient-focused care, including clinical services such as disease state management, medication reviews, including Initiation of care plans, follow up and documentation, Maintain cleaning standards and appearance of the department Assist and complete financial documents as requested by administration, Participate in strategies to grow our business, Other duties related to the position and as assigned.

Qualifications:
Registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacy, 2 -3 years of experience including conducting and billing Clinical Services, Injection certified, Preference is given to Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) designation or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire, Knowledge of Kroll pharmacy system is an asset, Interest or certification in geriatrics, diabetes, travel and smoking cessation, Strong customer/patient satisfaction orientation, Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
