Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, leading the team, and driving business development initiatives. You will play a critical role in optimizing workflow, maintaining compliance, and ensuring a high standard of patient care — all while working closely with ownership to grow the business and expand community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage daily pharmacy operations, including staffing, workflow, and patient interactions.
● Ensure full compliance with all provincial laws and regulations.
● Provide direct patient care services, including counseling, medication reviews, and immunizations.
● Hire, train, and manage pharmacy staff to foster a supportive, high-performing team culture.
● Maintain optimal inventory levels, manage supplier relationships, and control costs.
● Monitor business performance metrics and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
● Lead community outreach efforts and develop new service offerings to expand pharmacy reach.
● Collaborate with local healthcare providers and participate in community health initiatives.
● Work closely with the pharmacy owner to achieve financial and operational goals.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and be in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
● Must be APA licensed and have Injections Certification.
● Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience; leadership experience is strongly preferred.
● Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to contribute to and benefit from business success.
● Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
● Passion for community involvement and personalized patient care.
