ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Pharmacy Manager will manage the daily dispensary operations, work in a team environment and collaborate with other health professionals. The ideal candidate would also have an interest in developing specialty areas of practice, as well as a passion and interest to develop and implement client-focused programs.

The pharmacy manager position requires someone with the ability to work under pressure, manage and lead change and is passionate about providing and growing professional services and developing team members. This is a full-time position in a community pharmacy environment and includes a rotation of week day and weekend shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide exceptional patient care
• Check prescriptions for accuracy
• Counsel on prescription medications, and OTC
• Complete med reviews
• Inventory and Stock Control
• Identify and report sales opportunities both internally and externally
• Provide timely and positive resolution to patient’s needs and Doctor’s requests/issues
• align with ACP standard of practice and regulations

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy license to practice and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy , preferred candidate is with Additional Prescribing Authority
• Certified to administer medication by injection is a must
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail environment
• Minimum of 1 year experience in managerial setting
• Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate and coach others
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies
• Strong problem-solving skills including the experience formulating and executing action plans
• Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy Computer system is an asset
