Job Description

We are looking for a full-time pharmacist to join our team.  We are a family run community pharmacy that specializes in animal medicines.  We are looking for someone who is caring, adaptable and detail oriented.

Requirements:

• member in good standing of the Alberta College of Pharmacy
• injection certified
• above average communication skills and proficiency in the English language
• Customer service oriented
• excellent at problem solving
• excellent at multi-tasking
• Excellent at working on your own and in a team

Duties:

• Advise customers on the selection and usage of non-prescription medication
• Dispense prescription medications
• Ask patients about other drugs they are taking or if they have existing medical conditions
• Educate patients on the possible side effects of their medication and answer any questions they may have
• Maintain medication profiles of patients, including registering narcotics, and controlled drugs
• Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies and medication
• Ensure pharmaceuticals are properly packaged, distributed, prepared, and stored
• Supervise pharmacy assistants preparing and dispensing medications
