Job Description

Stony Plain Wellness & Compounding Pharmacy, located in Stony Plain, AB is currently accepting resumes for a full time Compounding Pharmacy Technician. The candidate is able to work 40 hours a week. The successful candidate must be in the process of becoming a licensed Pharmacy Technician or already be licensed in the province of Alberta. The store is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. Compounding experience would be an asset.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, and under the supervision of a pharmacist, this role is responsible for performing specific dispensing functions as outlined by provincial regulations and standards of practice.  The role primarily involves managing the compounding lab; filling, preparing, dispensing compounds as well as managing the cleaning and inventory for the lab. This role is good for someone who doesn’t mind working alone and is good at prioritizing their tasks.

The successful candidate must have a professional attitude, and excellent communication skills.  The candidates will join a pharmacy team that prides itself in delivering excellent customer service and a flexible working environment.  Applicants must be motivated, possess superior organizational skills and work well both independently and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician
• Pharmacy Technician Certificate from an accredited post secondary institution.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and has experience multi-tasking.
• Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers.
