Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Clinical pharmacist to oversee and manage daily pharmacy operations at a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medical terminology, and a commitment to patient care. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional medication management services. A background in hospital or acute care settings, along with pediatrics experience, is highly desirable to support diverse patient needs and promote optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure efficient and accurate medication dispensing and patient service.
  • Oversee medication inventory management, including ordering, storage, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans and improve patient care outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication administration, and patient interactions.
  • Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication usage, side effects, and safety protocols.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to uphold the highest standards of pharmacy practice.
  • Stay current with advances in pharmaceutical sciences, hospital protocols, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
  • Prior experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and ensuring medication safety standards are met.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 80 per week
