Job Description

Position: Pharmacy Assistant – Full-time

Department: Pharmacy

Hours of Work: Days; 0845-1700 Hours

Salary Range: As per CapitalCare Salary Scale

Under the supervision of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants perform various medication related duties including: distribution and packaging of medications; management and replenishment of medication inventory levels and clerical duties in accordance with standard procedure.

Education:

  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
  • Completion of Pharmacy Assistant Program or equivalent combination of education & experience

Experience:

  • Institutional pharmacy experience is required
  • Administrative support experience is an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education, skills and experience may be considered

Related Knowledge:

  • Beginner level Microsoft Office application experience is required
  • ConnectCare and Kroll experience is an asset
