CONTRIBUTE TO OUTCOME DATA
RxA has partnered with Medi-scribe to access anonymized, de-identified, and aggregated data through the activities of pharmacists using the Medi-scribe platform. Medi-scribe is an Alberta based clinical practice tool already in over 600 pharmacies, built to streamline pharmacist clinical workflows by standardizing guideline driven care with less administrative burden.
If your pharmacy already uses Medi-scribe… thank you! You’re contributing to our advocacy efforts. If not, consider subscribing to Medi-scribe today.

Why Get Involved?
To protect patients’ access to pharmacists provided care.
Alberta Health has extended the Alberta Blue Cross agreement through April 2026. Despite RxA’s persistent advocacy for increased funding for pharmacist-delivered care, the Ministry of Health has maintained the current budget at $670 million—identical to the 2024–25 fiscal year.
Given the volume and scope of services pharmacists are currently providing, we are once again bracing for significant funding shortfalls. The implications are wide-reaching: potential reductions in wages or hours for staff pharmacists, strain on pharmacy owners, and increased pressure on care delivery. Recent announcements regarding changes to senior and non-group copay structures, as well as the planned removal of COVID-19 vaccinations from pharmacies this fall, further compound the challenges ahead.
