New Pharmacy Funding Framework Announced
The Government of Alberta has introduced a new Pharmacy Funding Framework that provides funding stability through March 31, 2029. The framework includes a new pharmacist billing cap effective June 26, 2026, updated dispensing fees and government drug program changes beginning October 1, 2026, and additional pilot initiatives planned for 2026 and 2027.
