Position Overview
Pharmasave Bonnyville is seeking a motivated Provisional or Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This position works between Davey Drug Mart and The Clinic Dispensary, offering a collaborative community pharmacy environment where technicians are encouraged to practice to their full scope within Alberta College of Pharmacy standards.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately process and dispense prescriptions in accordance with ACP standards

Perform final technical checks within technician scope of practice

Support pharmacy clinical services including CACPs and SMMAs through documentation (BPMH) and workflow coordination

Process insurance claims, coordination of benefits, and assist with audit prevention practices

Perform Level A non-sterile compounding

Manage inventory, medication ordering, and stock control

Assist with compliance packaging and workflow management

Provide guidance and supervision to pharmacy assistants to ensure safe and efficient workflow

Occasionally deliver medications to patients in lodges, hospital settings, and community locations

Utilize pharmacy management software (Kroll experience preferred)
Qualifications

Registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Provisional Pharmacy Technician

Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program

Recent graduates or students awaiting PEBC results are welcome to apply

Students currently enrolled in Pharmacy Technician programs seeking future placement opportunities are encouraged to apply

Valid driver’s license (required for occasional medication deliveries)

Level A non-sterile compounding knowledge

Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills

Knowledge of insurance billing, coordination of benefits, and pharmacy audit practices
-
Kroll software experience is an asset
Successful candidates must demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
Work Schedule

Full-time position

Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule shared between both pharmacy locations
