Job Description

Responsibilities would include:

usual processing of prescriptions (counting, labeling, preparing prescription for checking, etc)

Entry of prescriptions (using Kroll system) **proficient, accurate entry of prescriptions may allow for additional shifts for applicant**

Interaction with patients on prescription pick up (processing purchase at pick up).

blister packing of medications

maintenance/refilling of scriptpro counting machine

routine maintenance of pharmacy (transfer of shredding/garbage, cleaning counter/shelves, dead drugs, filling vials/labels, etc.)

Putting away drug order.

Answering phone for pharmacy related customer service. Sending faxes.

Other duties may be added depending on experience/performance (doing pharmacy order, doing expiries, assistance with deliveries, inventory management).

Registered tech would have added responsibilities (checking blister packs, checking refills and other allowed duties) and with suitable performance would qualify for higher wage.

Hours are flexible. Range of 24 to 40 hours per week. Wage: $19 to $23 per hour (or higher) depending on experience.
