What you’ll do:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Pharmacy Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the operation and financial performance of the pharmacy while providing leadership, guidance and mentorship to the Pharmacy team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and monitor the budget, labour, and inventory within the Pharmacy
  • Oversee and monitor inventory levels, as well as planograms, pricing, and promotional merchandise within the Pharmacy
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that comply with legislation, bylaws and regulations, as well as accrediting body standards
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain awareness of current local competitive activity and identify potential business development opportunities
  • Provide an outstanding level of patient focused services and professional advice/counselling on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, and health related issues to patients
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with health care professionals in the community to ensure optimal patient care
  • Follow proper recruitment and orientation practices and ensure the administration of personnel policies and the CBA in a fair and respectful manner
  • Responsible for meaningful and effective performance management and completion of performance reviews; identify ongoing training and development needs
  • Foster a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all in the pursuit of desired results

Who you are:

  • Have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctorate in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Current licensure and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia or you are able to attain licensure in BC if you are out-of-province
  • Experience leading technical and/or professional staff is an asset
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
  • You are able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends, and are willing to work extended hours when required
  • Are willing to be involved in the community

This is a permanent full-time position that requires relocation to Ucluelet, British Columbia. As required, the Co-op may assist with providing relocation assistance as well as a retention bonus to the successful candidate.
