Job Description
Morinville Pharmacy is an independent apothecary-style practice focused on strong clinical care, teamwork, and meaningful patient relationships. We’re building something intentional, and we’re looking for a full-time Pharmacist who wants to grow with us.
Our work environment is steady, purposeful, and grounded in real care — not corporate metrics, not rushed quotas, and not pressure to cut corners. The pace is real, the work is steady, but the priority never shifts away from the patient. We work closely with the medical clinic next door through genuine communication, shared care, and a commitment to the medical home philosophy. Together, we give patients a consistent, connected experience across both sides.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in paying fairly and sustainably for the work that’s being done. Our starting wage is $60 per hour, supported by Alberta Blue Cross benefits. As our service model evolves and we reach new milestones, everyone benefits — growth here is shared, not isolated at the top. We are an independent pharmacy, which means we don’t rely on grocery or cosmetic departments to subsidize wages. Every dollar goes directly into staffing, patient care, and maintaining a strong, stable workplace.
What Makes This Role Stand Out:
-
The pharmacy closes at 7 PM — evenings are respected and we are not looking to extend those hours
-
A cohesive, respectful pharmacy team that supports each other
-
Real collaboration with the clinic next door through communication, shared care, and the medical-home approach
-
An environment built on efficiency, care, and accountability — not pressure or rushed targets
-
You get the benefits of a rural, community practice while being only 10 minutes from St. Albert and about 20 minutes from Edmonton — an easy commute along the Henday without the stress of city driving
-
A chance to influence a growing, community-focused practice with high standards
Who We’re Looking For:
-
A pharmacist who finds meaning in patient care and wants their work to matter
-
Someone who thrives in a busy but supportive environment
-
A clinician who moves with pace and purpose without sacrificing quality
-
A professional who values teamwork, independence, and contributing to a practice that’s still growing with intention
What We Offer:
-
$60/hour with Alberta Blue Cross benefits
-
Full-time hours, with the understanding that the pharmacy closes at 7 PM
-
A stable, team-driven workplace rooted in respect
-
Opportunities for meaningful clinical work: medication management, follow-up, chronic care support
-
A chance to be part of shaping a pharmacy that is evolving with purpose
If you want to practice pharmacy in a place where care comes first, the team is strong, and your clinical judgement is respected, we’d be happy to meet you.
