Part-Time Community Pharmacist – Edmonton, Alberta

Position: Part-Time Community Pharmacist
Location: Hazeldean Drug Mart and The Drug Store Castledowns (Edmonton, AB)
Start Date: Flexible
Hours: Part-time (approx. 10-20 hours/week, including occasional weekends)

About Us:
We own two busy, patient-focused community pharmacies that provide personalized care to our patients. Our team prides itself on creating a welcoming environment where patients (and staff) feel supported, informed, and valued. We’re looking for a friendly, adaptable pharmacist who enjoys working in a community setting and building long-term patient connections.

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, accurate dispensing and patient counseling in accordance with ACP standards
• Deliver community-focused clinical services (e.g., immunizations, medication reviews, assessments, and point-of-care testing as applicable)
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations, including verification, workflow management, and OTC guidance
• Build strong relationships with patients and caregivers through approachable, individualized care
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians, assistants, and other team members
• Maintain complete and compliant patient records
• Contribute to a positive, community-oriented atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
• Community pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and customer service mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced community setting
• Proficiency with pharmacy software (e.g., Kroll) considered an asset
• Injection authorization required; Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) is an asset
