Pharmacist Floater – Flexible Hours for Independent Pharmacies (Edmonton)
We are seeking a dedicated and people-focused Pharmacist Floater to support a network of independent community pharmacies across Edmonton, Alberta. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys variety, adaptability, and the chance to work in multiple pharmacy environments while still having guaranteed hours. We can work with your schedule and offer the option to be paid as either a contractor or employee.
About the Role:
As a floater pharmacist, you’ll be an essential part of various healthcare teams, helping maintain excellent patient care standards while adapting to different community settings. You’ll benefit from stable hours, professional variety, and the opportunity to expand your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescriptions, including verification and checking
- Perform patient-focused clinical services and document as required
- Provide professional advice on prescription and OTC products
- Counsel patients on new and existing medications, including side effects and interactions
- Administer injections and immunizations
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage medication therapies and ensure accurate inventory, labeling, and storage
- Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety standards
- Contribute positively to each pharmacy team you support

Candidate Requirements:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- Injection Authorization & valid CPR certification
- Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) is an asset
- Proficiency with Kroll software preferred
- Strong adaptability and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
