The successful candidate must:

  • Be registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
  • Have authorization to administer drugs by injection; additional prescribing authorization preferred but not mandatory.
  • Have superior customer relation skills, analytical skills, ability to think critically, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and be quality focused.
  • Have qualities of compassion, courtesy and excellent interpersonal skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build trustful relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Have the ability to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team being able to prioritize and manage a heavy workload in a fast paced dispensary environment.
  • Have the skills to supervise pharmacy technicians, assistants and students.
  • Have a passion for patient care and commitment for our profession with a strong work ethic.
  • Embraces diversity and values the unique needs of each patient.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Very strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Computer proficiency with Kroll Software preferred but not mandatory.

Education:

  • Licensed and in good standing as a pharmacist with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
  • Injection Certification and valid CPR certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Additional Prescribing Authority preferred but not mandatory.
