Description: 

Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, prepares computer labels and repackages pharmaceuticals in preparation for dispensing and dispenses medications. Performs distribution and clerical functions; assists in inventory control and purchasing. May perform any task in Pharmacy which does not require a pharmacist’s professional judgment and is not restricted to a pharmacist by relevant federal and provincial legislation.

 

Qualifications:

Pharmacy Technician diploma recognized by CapitalCare is required. Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) is required.
