Leadership Series Keynote

 

Friday evening’s keynote will offer three dynamic presenters.

 

What is Leadership and Why Should You Care?

Presenter: Dale Cooney, BSP, MBA, ACC

 

You may be familiar with the traditional definitions of leadership but what really is leadership? Dale will help you recognize what leadership is and what your role is in moving the profession forward. He will show you how to have a leadership point of view and how even a single change can make a difference.

 

 

Leadership and Pharmacy: A Stampede or a Lonely Walk?

Presenter: Dr. Neil MacKinnon, BSc(Pharm), MSc(Pharm), PhD

 

In this presentation, Dr. MacKinnon will build upon the concept of leadership and the application to the profession of pharmacy. Leadership will be viewed through the lens of several contemporary issues in the profession and strategies will be provided to help us achieve our vision for a safe and effective medication-use system.

 

 

Advancing Pharmacy Practice Through Innovation

Presenter: Krystal Wynnyk, BScPharm

 

Krystal will be sharing details of the new grant funding available to pharmacists as part of the Pharmacy Practice Innovation Grant. This grant is intended to support community pharmacists and their development of innovative practice to enhance the delivery of healthcare and/or demonstrate the value of an existing unique practice.
