Job Description

Apothecare Rx Pharmacy is a new, independent, and innovative pharmacy in central SE Calgary, AB. We are seeking a creative, talented and dedicated colleague to join our successful team. 

Tasks: 

As a Pharmacist, patient centered care will be your utmost priority. While some dispensing is involved in this role, it will be shared amongst your pharmacist colleagues and highly skilled Registered Pharmacy Technicians. This will allow you, the pharmacist, to utilize your full scope of practice to provide the highest quality patient care. Our pharmacy space and technology has been optimized for a focus on one-on-one patient interactions. You will be exposed to a number of unique practice areas including Obesity, Heart Failure, Gastrointestinal Diseases, and Diabetes. We are not a traditional community-based pharmacy. You will be strongly encouraged and supported to develop your own unique clinical practice that you would like to specialize in. Your responsibility will be to ensure our pharmacy is a pinnacle example of patient care and pharmacist practice. 

Your qualifications: 

• BScPharm, PharmD, MPharm, or equivalent 
• Registration and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy 
• Additional Prescribing Authorization is required
• Certification to administer injections is required
• New pharmacy graduates are welcome to apply
• Prior clinical experience is an asset, but is not required
• Confidence in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare providers 
• Enthusiasm for novel and innovative pharmacy practice environments 
• Passionate about clinical pharmacy services and dedicated to patient focused care
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and work as a team
• Interest in community pharmacy practice-based research

• Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Hours may be expanded to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
