Mint is currently seeking temporary full-time pharmacy technicians for one of our pharmacies in Calgary.

Pharmacy Technicians will help in the safe and efficient dispensing of medication by our Mint Health + Drugs pharmacies in the inner city of Calgary.

This is a great opportunity for a pharmacy technician who wishes to work as part of a concerted multidisciplinary effort to help the most vulnerable in Calgary. You must have the flexibility to be able to work 7 days a week. You will be working to full scope.

Immediate availability is required.

Although listed as temporary, there is potential for something more permanent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pharmacists prepare prescriptions, enter data, and assist with patient interactions at the store level. The successful candidates will hold the following credentials:

Education and Experience:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacists
  • Demonstrated experience with vulnerable populations (preferred)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel spreadsheets, Kroll, Netcare, and other database programs.
  • Very strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Assists patients with questions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Communicates effectively at all levels.
  • Very strong attention to details.
  • Accepts and responds to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
