Job Description

Market Drugs Medical is looking to hire a motivated Pharmacy Technician for a part-time leading to full-time position in our non-sterile compounding department. Experience in non-sterile compounding is an asset.

The successful candidate will also assist the pharmacist in ensuring the dispensary area is functional, clean, and operational to ensure the highest quality patient care.

Skills:

• Motivated to learn and excel in non-sterile compounding
• Excellent organizational and time management skills 
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Ability to work as a team player and have a team approach
• Perform the expanded scope of regulated pharmacy technician roles
• Assist the pharmacist in streamlining the application of clinical pharmacy services and patient centred care

Work conditions and physical capabilities

• Repetitive tasks
• Combination of standing, walking and sitting
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Wear PPE for extended periods of time

Requirements

Regulated Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) active license

Salary Negotiable

Market Drugs Medical is a family owned and operated community and non-sterile compounding pharmacy and home medical supply store. We have been in business for over 50 years. We are located downtown near Canada Place and the Winspear Centre.  Business hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm, Saturday 10-2pm.
