Job Description

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant to
join our Pharmacy team on a full-time or part-time basis at our location in Vermilion, AB. Reporting to the
Pharmacy Manager, the successful applicant will demonstrate genuine interpersonal and communication
skills. Our ideal candidate will be committed to developing an excellent reputation for health care on both
a personal and organizational level.
What you’ll do:
• Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences
• Deliver a high standard of usual pharmacy functions including accurate receiving, preparation of
prescriptions, ordering, rotating stock and supplies, returning outdates and unsalable product and
assisting in the inventory process
• Be familiar with all merchandise carried in the department, with merchandise normally carried in
pharmacies, as well as to be aware of the new products and trends pertaining to the pharmaceutical
and retail industry
• Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws
and regulations
• Be safety aware and contribute to building and sustaining our positive safety culture
• Able to work as relief is needed
• Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s
vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Who you are:
• You have previous Pharmacy knowledge/education
• If you are a Pharmacy Technician; Proof of registration as a Technician with Alberta College of
Pharmacy will be required
• Dispensing experience would be considered an asset
• You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you
