What you’ll do as a Pharmacy Manager:

In addition to typical pharmacist duties, you will be responsible for:

· The day to day operations of the pharmacy.

· Utilizing clinical skills associated with injection and APA certification on a frequent basis.

· Running pharmacy wellness community clinics.

· Establishing and maintaining a collaborative, respectful and safe work environment.

· Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations.

· Pharmacy documentation as required by legislative bodies, drug plans and vested third party groups.

· Ensuring department billings and payment processes are efficient and on time.

· Leading, recruiting, supervising and scheduling pharmacy department staff.

· Identifying and developing business development strategies and an action plan.

· Participating in developing budgets and tracking operational expenses with management.

· Have the support you need, reporting directly to the owner.

What you will need to be successful:

· Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, and a valid license in Alberta.

· Injection and APA certifications or ability to achieve them.

· Motivated to use your clinical skills to optimize patient care and to serve the community.

· Driven to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.

· Proven leadership and performance management skills for managing your team.

· Experience managing the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy.

· Strong communication and customer service skills where patient needs are first.

· Ability to work independently in a busy environment.

· Experience developing and delivering business action plans.

· Working knowledge of business principles, applicable laws, regulations and code of ethics.

· Aptitude, attitude and motivation to foster professional excellence.
