Onoway Healthcare Pharmacy, located in Onoway, AB, is currently accepting resumes for a part-time Staff Pharmacist. This location is open 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm Saturdays. The shifts will fall between these hours. The successful candidate must be available to work 24 to 30 hours per week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: STAFF PHARMACIST

OBJECTIVE: To ensure professional dispensing and pharmacy practices and assume store supervision in the absence of management.  All dispensing functions performed by the pharmacist must be carried out in accordance with provincial regulations and ethical standards of practice.

It is our hope that all of our pharmacists assist in and promote the professional development of the profession of pharmacy through the offering of medication reviews and community based and individualized clinical interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed to practice as a pharmacist in the province.
• Certified to administer injections.
• Candidates with Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) are preferred, but this is not a requirement.
• A desire to provide expanded scope services.
• Some previous retail pharmacy dispensing experience preferred.
• Participate on an on-going basis, in continuing education programs for professional development.
• Professional image including pharmacy uniform, name tag and proper grooming.
• Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
