Full-Time Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) Posting
Locally owned and managed by pharmacists specializing in compounding, Dispensaries Ltd. has served the greater Edmonton area since 1934. Position
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-centric part-time/full-time Registered Pharmacy Technician for our Dispensaries Compounding Centre and Dispensaries Stores. Qualifications:
To be considered for this opportunity, the ideal candidate must have/be: • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) • A minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience • Ideally, some experience with Sterile Compounding • Sterile training will be provided for the right candidate if they do not have it. • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload • Able to manage changing priorities • Strong attention to detail • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills • Eagerness to learn and assist in maximizing efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
• Check prescriptions at the store level • Support the pharmacists at • Sterile compounding and compounding • Review SOPs together with the quality control manager • Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities • Assist the pharmacist in maintaining federal, provincial, and local laws, accrediting body standards, and Policies and Procedures (P&Ps). • Confirming accuracy, completeness and a final check of compounded sterile products & prepared prescriptions for release (i.e. correct patient, drug dosage form/route, dose, doctor, etc.) • Performs other duties as assigned.
